Choosing a Fitted Hat
One main feature of fitted hats is that they come in a specific size and are not adjustable. This means that you need to know what hat size you wear. To find this size, take a piece of string and wrap it around your head where the hat will sit, which is usually about an â…›-inch above the forehead and ears. Then, place the string next to a tape measure and compare the length of it that surrounds your head to a hat sizing chart. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next size up. Caring for a Fitted Hat
As you wear your new fitted hat, it’s likely to get dirty. Since you always want it to look its best, here are some helpful tips on how to get your hat clean, and how to care for and store it to ensure it’s always looking great!
For a good, deeper cleaning, use a fine bristled brush, and some mild cleaning detergent. Apply the detergent to a gentle bristled brush, and lightly rub the dirty areas. As far as daily cleaning goes, use a lint roller to keep the hat free of dust after each wear. You can also use a plain baby wipe to spot clean the hat as needed.
Do not completely soak or submerge the cap in water, as the cap will lose its shape, especially the bill. Also refrain from using harsh cleaners or detergents to clean a hat, as those kinds of products can cause discoloration, deterioration, or other issues.
Between times you wear the hat, consider keeping it in a box or somewhere out of sunlight and dust, so that the hat keeps its like-new appearance!
